Lunch at Parilla and a cheeky encounter in Playa del Carmen

In Playa del Carmenn I had my lunch at La Parilla Restaurant where I feasted on nachos with tomato salsa and guacamole. They are just my starter. For my main course, I ordered grilled lobster, just a small one.

My big lunch:

And I finished them all, except for the rice. Such a glutton, this woman, haha.

This is the festive interior of La Parilla Restaurant.

Although this was one of my best lunches (the best one was in Le Mont Saint Michel in France last year, I had a variety of fresh crustaceans, oysters, crayfish, prawns and clams, I am salivating now as I write, lol), I really felt guilty from all the food I ate. I felt hideous. So I made sure I did a lot of vigorous walking in the afternoon.

My view to the street from the table.

Later in the afternoon when the sun was setting down so I went back to the Fifth Avenue in search for a nice bar and this one caught me — a bar with swings as barstools! Now that’s just cool, I cannot pass!

Because I’m still full from my lunch bingeing, I settled for a margarita. No snack or dinner for me yet.

I was just having a nice time all by myself when two couples came, highly intoxicated with alcohol and both women were laughing very loud, screaming with earsplitting shrills and cajoling their partners and the rest of the men in the bar.

So anyway… they wanted me to change swings or give up my swing. Um, what did you just say?

Apparently there are only a few swings available and they magically managed to dismiss the two older American guys who were sitting on their swings. Now they want mine as well as they are 4 and they only have 3 swings to themselves.

I think the guy was flabbergasted when I said—“NO, I am not moving. You can wait until I leave after I finish this margarita.â€

He was speechless there for a second, lol. I mean HELLOOOOO. Why are you inconveniencing me to suit your convenience? Of all people, your girls are rowdy, they do not need a swing to sit down, they need a cold shower.

The two older American guys came to me and whispered—“That was good of you to say NO!â€
