Paris Skyline from the top of Printemps and Galeries Lafayette

I was in Paris with Blondine last October. It was a long weekend getaway (with a little bit shopping) which is something I need from time to time in order to de-stress. With the pressures I have in my job I will surely get old easily, thus a diversion here and there will keep me sane. Like right now, I am so itching to go somewhere but I’m trying to be patient and wait for a few more weeks. We are leaving soon for the Alps.

Anywho, many may have known this already but it’s always good to echo a tip because I have nice pictures =)

On top of the two famous department stores in Paris, the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps on Boulevard Haussmann, are great viewing points of the city. We had breakfast at the Le Déli-Cieux cafe restaurant on the top terrace of Printemps. Very French breakfast: croissant + café au lait + of course 360 degree panorama of beautiful Paris, complete with the Eiffel Tower and the Sacre Coeur.

When in Paris don’t miss this.

Here are the views of Paris at the top terrace of Printemps:

Paris is so uniformed in building design.

Roofdeck with a little bit of greenery up here.

I love the details of everything in these two pictures.

Montmartre in the distance.

And here we are at the top of Galeries Lafayette:

We are Parisian ladies for the day. Although I think the real Parisian ladies are out there shopping in the market or are having a cup of coffee and an eclair at a cafe terrace slash brasserie.

A bit busy here as you can see! But the views are great, nonetheless.
