I did not drive though, this is my chauffeur from the hotel bringing me to the luxury hotel Burj al Arab often referred to as the only 7-star hotel in the world, for my plush afternoon tea =). We have to pass by the famous highway, Sheikh Zayed.

On this highway you will see the skyline of Dubai. Can you imagine there was nothing here 40 years ago?
Below you will find a few pictures of the skyline on my way back to the old part of Dubai. Can you spot the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building and man-made structure in the world? Well, not until the Chinese builds a much taller one. Hint: It is the thin elegant shiny building on the right.
