Hi there, I’m just back from Bella Italia refreshed and recharged. There are so many things to share about this trip that I am at a loss of words where to begin with.
This is me on the coast of Deiva Marina where we stayed for our Italian Riviera holiday (in the Ligurian Coast). Taken with the camera of my Nokia Navigator (with 2MB pixels).
A girl friend and I went to Cinque Terre, the 5 beautiful little villages nestled on top of the Ligurian coastal cliffs: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso al Mare.
We also visited posh places in the Italian Riviera: Portovenere, Santa Margherita Ligure, and the jet set Portofino – they were all lovely and fascinating!
Me in the hotel which was a total surprise as it was really nice. Our hotel room was modern and clean and it was always a comfort to come back in the evening after a busy day (and a long tiring hike!). The hotel personnel were a fabulous bunch too, especially the woman who took care of our breakfast, she was simply amazing. She spoke Italian of course but she always tries to insert some English words in her sentences. So with that, she gets a 10 for effort =)
