Quebec Old Town: Espresso and a Shot of Whiskey at Cafe Bistro l’Omelette on Rue Saint Louis

Salut everyone…

Whilst passing by this very charming street, the Rue Saint Louis, I cannot help but notice this building with bright yellow window canopies and busting with colourful flowers. Upon closer inspection I realised they were two restaurants, where one is a cafe bistro.

Good timing methinks. Although I was not hungry, I was longing to have a warm cup of coffee. So I had a little chat with the ladies outside who were responsible for ushering guests in to the restaurant (Cafe de Paris) and bistro (Cafe Bistro l’Omelette). They said I better choose the bistro cafe since I am only going for a cuppa.

The interior of the bistro cafe was really nice, very warm, traditional and cosy. I quite liked it a lot. The cafe bistro can easily be a nice place to have a lunch or snack.

I ordered my cup of coffee and requested as well a shot of whiskey. This was a nice break after having walked around the city the whole afternoon.

When in Quebec City, you have to check out Rue Saint Louis.

The twin restaurants/cafe on Rue Saint Louis. This street is very charming and one must check this out if you are first time in the city. If you walk further out of Old Quebec, you will reach Grande de Allee (East) where the nightlife is.

Very cosy European-Parisian ambiance of the cafe bistro.

Outside was becoming a bit colder so the whiskey did helped a bit.

Rue Saint Louis must be on your Old Quebec itinerary.
