It has been my recent kick of finding special cafes and restaurants with character, amazing views or simply with a theme going on. So after much searching on the internet I came upon the L’Atelier Renault Café. It is Renault’s showroom on Champs Elysees, Paris but with a different twist—it has its own café, bar and restaurant.

When I saw the pictures on the website, I was quickly drawn to the modern design—hanging hallways and glass plates everywhere, the colours (lime green!) and the space. The whole new concept of a car manufacturer using its atelier as a platform for showcasing it’s car models, as an exhibition or event location, with a gift and boutique shop, as well as a café, bar and restaurant is quite new in the market, and this atelier specifically having been opened for just over 1 year now.
I cannot deny the fact that there’s stiff competition with car manufacturers on Champs Elysees, especially amongst the French brands. Peugeot has an amazing atelier with a jaw-dropping car showcase, and even Toyota didn’t fail to join in the le grande atelier and branding fight.
However, I must admit that Renault has the best atelier on the avenue. The car manufacturer has successfully allowed its brand to communicate openly to its audience in the form of discovery, experience and the stimulation of the sensory organs.
Here are the pictures of Renault’s restaurant and our dinner:

So here is the verdict:
Food here is 3.9 stars out of 5. The Gambas salad was good but I find the gambas not finely presented, there was too much sauce in it and too many croutons. I do not eat croutons.
We however enjoyed the place and the ambiance. I still highly recommend this place, for its unique setting and atmosphere. Prices are not that expensive, quite reasonable. And there is an elegant cafe terrace outside on the Champs Elysees boulevard as well.
And now, moving on to the latest exhibit that is getting all the attention: The RENAULT DEZIR

I am not really a car person although I have owned cars and still own one and have been driving for years. Especially here in the Netherlands where owning a car is expensive.
But this one is a beauty. For more information of the concept electric car, google ‘Renault Dezir’.
