Trivia: Did you know that the long-time Spanish tradition of ‘Corrida de Torros’ (bullfights), has been banned, just recently, in one of Spain’s provinces, Catalonia? Supporters says the corrida is an art form that it is vital to preserve (quote BBC). The ban takes effect in January 2012.
Bullfights Banned
Okay, the nationalistic Catalans may probably contest that they are not part of Spain’s provinces (as well as the Basques) who have long wanted their independence, but hey, technically, the Catalans are Spaniards. Ooops, I hope I have not ruffled some Catalan feathers out there. Click here for the story: Catalonia bans bullfighting in landmark Spain

Anyway, I am not sure if we will watch a bullfight in this holiday. Dutchman already told me it is against his principle while I for the sake of curiosity would, but I think I will just be wasting my money because I would probably be covering my eyes with my hands the whole time! I can’t stand violence.
I however visited a cute bullring in Mijas, one of those charming little white pueblos scattered in the mountains of Andalucia. It merits a separate entry and I took lots of fotos!
Bought a hat

And oh, I finally bought a straw hat to protect myself from the heatstroke! I wanted a huge one but couldn’t find any. I am also eyeing a black hat. I kind of like my tan-bronze colour here—have been walking under the sun the whole time here I might blend soon with nightfall.
