This painter’s square reminds me of my Paris trip with the Dutchman 11 years ago. It was March, still winter and chilly at 3C, but we sat outside the café restaurant and had each a warm cup of coffee. We watched the street artists and the many colourful paintings scattered on the square. Business must go on even during winter. Dutchman and I even had a picture of us sitting outside this café restaurant, a picture that I insist on being taken, which the waiter gladly took it for me. This picture is now sitting in our library-work room.
Anyway, Bru and I were lucky enough to spot a recently vacated table and quickly claimed it before someone else does. Because we had a very late lunch at Café Le Marly, we didn’t really have any appetite for dinner, instead, we ordered two beverages each, champagne and bitter lemon for me and orange juice and Evian water for her.
Summer makes you thirsty, all the time.
Place du Tertre is without any doubt an incredibly touristy place but I reckon that it is also the best place in Montmartre to people watch. So for the rest of the evening we just ogled at people and after we have had our fill we set out to stroll around the artsy neighbourhood before calling it a night.
