I like it that many boat companies in Ghent are using small boats for the tour.
After our lunch at the Belga Queen, Blondine and I took a boat trip on the waterways of Ghent. We were initially worried about the boat tour because the skies were a bit grey with intermittent blue skies and sunrays. The last thing we want is being rained down while on the boat. However, it never rained since we arrived in Ghent, so we decided to take the boat tour.
With our boat ticket we get a free ice cream each. Almost all boat tour companies in Ghent were offering free ice cream. Competition is tough I reckon.
We didn’t really have any high expectations of the boat tour but we were quite surprised and pleased that it turned out very nice. The trip wasn’t very long and it wasn’t short as well. The duration was just perfect. The scenery was lovely and the canals are cosy. There were enough monuments of note and beautiful stuff to be see during the entire cruise.
Here is a quick video I took as we passed by the Graslei canal:
And brace yourself for the many pictures I captured during the boat trip:

I highly recommend the boat trip in Ghent for first-time visitors.
