Singapore: A Trip to Eunos Crescent Market & Food Center

Come follow me as I weave through the market!

Moi and SisterJ behind me.

This market is the nearest market to where SisterJ and Myrhh live. The Eunos Market is just 2 stops with the bus from Telok Kurau. Here, we bought some ampalayas, bananas and kalian leafy vegetables. My mom wants to cook ampalaya with eggs for tomorrow’s breakfast and I want my steamed kalian.

We also got stuck in another store that sells western imported goods.

This Eunos Crescent Market and Food Centre is quite big. There are extension buildings located on the grounds across the main market hall and just beside the MRT. These extension buildings are filled with stores as well.

Have you been to a market in Singapore?

Two humongous squids.

Do you love this slimy vegetable okra? I do.

We bought some ampalayas.

And we bought bananas as well.

My mom loves Thai longgan while I prefer lanzones. So SisterJ stocked up on longgans. The green fruit is balimbing (carambola or starfruit). We have a lot of these growing at my parents’ place.

Tofu for the vegetarians.

The annexed food center (hawker).

So many noodles!!! They even have Lucky Me Pancit Canton.

I was contemplating on buying this powder (the classic version) because of the heat in Asia but then thought that it is just temporary, and then I will be back in cold, grey and rainy Netherlands.

This is totally food porn. Layer upon layer.

Cold milk tea shops are everywhere in Singapore.

Deep fried snacks on a stick.
