I was watching last night the 911 stories on TV and the program was just so moving I couldn’t help but jump in the emotional bandwagon as well. What would you do if you were in the victims shoes? Do you think you will be lucky enough to be able to call your loved one/s? What would you say? What is it like knowing that you are going to die?
Americans are proud people and are ultra nationalistic so its just apt to start a foto with this entry with the United States of America flag. Taken in New York City Grand Central Terminal, January 2007, this station was opened in 1871 and was rebuilt in 1913 and recently in 2000 as well.
Anyway, I just want to post my 911 tragedy tribute (with fotos of my visit to NYC World Trade Center Ground Zero 3 years ago) to the United States of America, the innocent victims, the fallen heroes and their surviving families and close friends. May they rest in peace. May the surviving families find peace as well. And may this unspeakable atrocity never ever happen again.
Fotos from top to down: 18th century St. Paul’s Chapel, the WTC twin towers used to stand tall at the back of this church, it became a refuge center when the twin towers collapsed; WTC metro station, when I was there the foreground was used as a temporary memorial with fotos; the actual WTC site—Ground Zero, still a huge job site in 2007; and the Flag of Honour, the red stripes have names printed on it of all the victims.
