After checking the Saturday market, I went for the needed refueling. Lunch was at the the Le Forum Brasserie at Place Gambetta, a busy open square with café restaurants and terraces flanking on the sides.
Salad Chevre Chaud for lunch with parma ham. Salad was 3 stars out of 5 but the white wine – Reisling was very good. 1 glass was enough as I will be driving later.
The Le Froum Brasserie was an easy choice because it was the best spot to people watch–right in front of the grassy field square. I took a seat in the outdoor terrace where I am not directly in contact with the sun otherwise I will have a searing headache while driving on the road. Not a good idea I reckon.
The square is an interesting modern piece of architectural structure. It is an elevated grassy field with wide landings in descending manner. A lot of people sit on the grassy field, some were picnicking, others were sunbathing and some were just relaxing.
Now that lunch is done, time to stretch my muscles again, and then visit the Notre Dame Cathedral.
