I’ve heard that Cafe 22 in Norrebro has remarkable and reasonably priced eat-all-you-can buffet brunch during weekends. Moreover, they say that the location should be fantastic—lakeside. Now, I’m not going to pass this kind of opportunity so I scheduled my Sunday brunch here.
Although the café has great potential for having breakfast with a view, sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate well that day. It was rather cold to be sitting outside so like the rest of the guests I settled inside the warm comforts of the café. I can just imagine though how perfect it would be to sit in the outdoor terrace when it’s fabulous weather. The views to the lake are lovely.
If I had more days in Copenhagen, I would definitely come back here for another long and lazy weekend brunch or perhaps drinks in the afternoon (well, when its great weather of course).
As for the food, I think it was quite good. For a small European café, there were enough warm and cold choices. They even have chicken hot wings, meatballs, serrano ham, salmon and olive tapanades for brunch! I would rate the food here 4.2 stars out of 5.
The café however can get very busy during weekends and tables can quickly fill up but nothing to worry because the turnovers are quite quick.
