Postcard Glimpse of Zhouzhuang Water Village in China

Trivia: Did you know that China has many water towns?

I managed to visit one of these popular water towns on the Yangtze River through a day tour I booked at my hotel. I didn’t really have much choice which water town to choose from since that day I booked was a Sunday and it was a holiday in China, which means only a few tour operators were working that day.

Because of the language barrier, tour operators are heaven-sent in this country.

Just a few snippets of Zhouzhuang water town. The town is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (without traffic) from Shanghai. Not too bad at all. A very good choice I suppose.

Stories and more photos to follow very soon!

Zhouzhuang is a very picturesque water town.

They say Zhouzhuang water village is the oldest in China, although many say that it is the most touristy as well.

There are many stone footbridges in Zhouzhuang.

Yup, I did a quick boat tour as well =)
