So what is Czech fastfood? Or street food?
Answer: GRILLED SAUSAGES or PARKY v ROHLIKU
In Prague and in most of the eastern European countries, sausages are king, and they should be warm, like grilled. Sausage mobile kiosks and stalls are found everywhere in the centre of Prague, on corner streets ready to serve the hungry local. They really stand out on the streets and mainly because they smell so yummy.
Each city has its own distinct culinary smell I suppose. In Brussels you can smell the waffles. In Paris, the crepes. In Lisbon, the chestnuts burning. In Prague, grilled meat.
Helaas, I wasn’t able to try them. I wanted to so bad but every time I stumble into them I have just eaten. But they indeed made an impression on me. I mean, they were everywhere in the city and the locals seem to love them.
