Bettys (in York, UK) not only offers the quintessential English afternoon tea but it also has its own confectioneries shop.
I thought the pretty-looking and colourful macaroons at Bettys would be a great addition to my Dutch presents for my girlfriend Queen Victoria that I will be meeting later in the evening. I am taking the train from York to Sheffield where she lives and will be staying with her for 2 more nights.
So before leaving York I bought a set for her and another set for the Dutchman as a coming home present. He always says I should not bother but I am stubborn. Pink for her and green for the Dutchman. You can choose different flavours of macaroons for your box. They are indeed beautiful elegant (gift) boxes.
