Typically Deutsch I reckon, this Kartoffel-Gemüse Pfanne.
We found the restaurant in Stubbengasse which is the brand spanking new and modern shopping complex of Munster. Cafe & Bar Celona is located right on the big open square.
Because I had my Krakauer sausage earlier and I was still a bit full I opted for a Cesar Salad (which was a mistake, I am giving this 2 stars out of 5) while everyone else, excluding the kids who ordered pasta, had the vegetarian kartoffel. I love food but I know when its too much for me.
The kartoffel was a hit so I guess that would be an easy 4 or 4.5 stars out of 5.
Cafe & Bar Celona is a fusion between Spanish and German cuisine. It has many branches all over Germany. I like the interior of the Munster branch, it has so much space and it is designed with many clusters of living rooms and lounges. We sat ourselves on a nice corner with big pillows. It is like a cross between commercial and modern dining.
I noticed that Germans have a more ‘going out to eat’ culture and modern and accepting (less structured) approach to eating than the Dutch. Big restaurants like Cafe & Bar Celona are rarely found in the Netherlands, perhaps there’s a few in Amsterdam that I am not aware of. Eating out for dinner has always been a traditional event, boutique-style manner and in an intimate setting in the Netherlands. Well, just an observation.
