I am not done with my Munster entries just yet!
Of course a visit to the Christmas Markets in Germany is not complete without the obligatory drinking of GLUHWEIN. It was 0C in Munster, no snow but cold enough to drink and enjoy a glass of this traditional winter drink.
Gluhwein at Klemens im Stadthaus

We saw this busy and gezellig outdoor terrace with heaters and we just could not say no to it. Luckily, we found a table with a heater. Perfect, we can finally order our gluhwein! =)
The kids didn’t fancy the gluhwein drink much, they just like smelling the tangy aroma of it. I think from the group I was the only one who really loved it. I only like it though when it’s hot.
Interestingly the Dutch sisters and nieces were telling us that if you visit the toilet (of Klemens im Stadthaus), when you are done you will be led through a different door that brings you literally out of the restaurant, and when you step outside the door you wonder—where the heck am I? lol
It is a bit strange I must admit, but that’s how we actually discovered the nicely tucked-away Christmas market in the city hall.
