The Galeries Lafayette in Paris really know who their target audience is and therefore knew how to treat them. With champagne!
Lovely view of the store and the balconies while having champagne.
We ordered Veuve Clicquot while having a respite from the walking and shopping. Shopping is tedious which is why I don’t like to shop at times. Blondine and I were also wearing high heeled boots, thus… haha. I know it’s a bit silly to wear high heels while shopping but sometimes girls are girls, especially when they are in Paris.
As we sipped our champagne from one of the balconies, I looked in front of me and I am pleased with my view. The Galeries Lafayette is one of the beautiful department stores in the world. I am at awe at the ostentatious dome made of steel and glass. The art nouveau details are just marvelous. I loved the opulent balconies as well. Ah, we could just have easily stayed there the whole afternoon but we need to get moving. We still have a few more hours left for shopping.
So a tip when visiting the Galeries Lafayette in Paris: Relax, take some time and have some champagne in the bar cafes that are located on every floor.
