Crepes and a beautiful metro station called ‘Bir Hakeim’

For many people, especially for the visiting female population, Paris is synonymous to the elegant and delectable macarons. But for me though, Paris will remain and will always be about crepes =)

So I had a little snack after the not-so-nice boat cruise on the River Seine. I always prefer my crepes naturel with a bit of sugar.

We found this really lovely metro stop near the Eiffel Tower called ‘Bir Hakeim’. I did a little google search and found out that Bir Hakeim metro stop was named after the ‘Battle of Bir Hakeim’ in Libya.

If the Spaniards, Dutch and English have been busy colonising countries during the Middle Ages until the 18th century and ruling over in Asia Pacific, Australia and the Americas, the French on the other hand laid their claim to power and jurisdiction in Africa and the Middle East. That explains why French is the second language in most countries in Africa and the Middle East.

So we took the metro to our next destination—the Louvre. We are going to do a little bit of shopping at the Carrousel du Louvre shopping complex and then we will have our late lunch at a very posh cafe.

Those stained glasses are very charming.
