Last week, more than half of my team at work was sick. One of my partners was joking with me when I visited them last Friday saying that I am the only one working. It did not take long before the virus hit me Friday afternoon. I have been nursing a fever and cold since then. Today Monday morning I braved myself and went to work thinking I am better. I did not want to miss my important morning meeting. However, by lunch time my eyes were fiery, my head rocking in pain and I am down with a fever. Luckily, my afternoon meeting was cancelled because of the carnaval event in the south of the Netherlands.
So I am home and I hate being sick. I tried to sleep but I cannot. So I am up and tinkering. I wish I am better tomorrow.
Anyway, we are still in Cuba. Here is a postcard perfect picture of Cuba.
Blondine and I were nearing Havana when we saw this fruit stand along the highway. We were actually thirsty and were looking for something to drink. So we pulled over and asked if they sell some drinks, such as coconut water, fruit juice or soda. Unfortunately they don´t, they only sell fruits, and beer.
By the way, this is one of my favourite pictures. I love how they smile and look at me.
In the countryside of Cuba, you will encounter many fruit stands (vegetable and cheese as well) such as this along the roads. This stand is one of the few that looks very nice. While some vendors have stands, others just hawk their produce along the roads.
My next few remaining entries of Cuba will be Havana again. Our last few moments in the city before we flew back to the Netherlands.
