Continental Breakfast of Champions at Hotel Onni in Porvoo, Finland

In Porvoo Old Town, Finland’s second oldest town located in the south of the country and less than an hour away from Helsinki, I stayed at Hotel Onni. The little boutique hotel is cute and a delight even though I suffered a self-inflicted little paranoia breakdown (haha) in the evening. Read my post here: My Lovely Boutique Hotel (Hotel Onni) in Porvoo and why I couldn’t sleep

Anyway, that morning while I was awakened by my telephone’s alarm clock, the staff of the hotel were already underway preparing for my exclusive breakfast… then came the knock on the door. Ah, my breakfast is ready =)

The Breakfast of Champions

When I stepped into the hotel’s little dining room, this is what greeted me good morning.

‘Your breakfast is ready.’ smiled the staff.  â€˜Would you like coffee or tea?’

‘Are these all for me?’ *wide eyes*

‘Yes ma’am!’

‘Oh! Umm yes, I will have coffee please.’  I replied back, and wondering how am I suppose to eat all of these.

Actually, what you see is not enough just yet because a warm omelette is coming. And under that black cloth is the location of the breads, some mini croissants and buns. This is what I call a very balanced, healthy and filling example of a European continental breakfast.

Overwhelmed that the spread was too much for me, I decided to just sample each item on the table. Just a little, just to taste. Good plan =)

The omelette arrived. Isn’t she just so plainly pretty? Plain, but yes, pretty. I like how it is shaped, they must have cooked this in a little frying pan. Hmm, a good idea to buy one.

This is a (European) continental breakfast of champions. Glad I scheduled this breakfast at 8AM so I can burn them away and be ready for a late lunch fest in the afternoon =)

I must admit that sometimes I am just thinking of food. Oh well, such obsession happens.
