Saturday Market in Zwolle Centrum, Netherlands

A very nice bright winter day in Zwolle and that is Bru standing there in the picture above.

The first thing Bru and I did in Zwolle was to check out the Saturday market in the centrum. The main market is located in the Grote Markt and flows to the Melkmarkt and the Oude Vismarkt. I was quite tempted to buy the fluffy sloffen (wool slippers that covers the ankles) for winter use at home, which I didn’t, but quite regretted it now that I did not buy it.

We stopped by at one of the brown cafes in front of the market and had some drinks. We need to catch up with each other. Bru moved to the eastern part of the Netherlands last year in the fall and I was quite curious how she is holding up with life in the country.

To have an idea of all the markets in Zwolle, go here: Zwolle Markets

Some tropical fruits here.

Stroopwaffels (caramelised waffles) originally come from Gouda.

A little break in front of the market.

Moi and Bru =)

Dutch dried sausages here. They are not my favourite though.
