Istanbul: Bosphorus Views from the Topkapi Palace

This little golden kiosk is where Sultan Mehmed has his morning prayer and breakfast.

The views to the Bosphorus, as well as to Beyoglu and Besiktas, and to the Asian side of Istanbul,
Uskudar can be found in the Fourth Courtyard of the palace. You basically just walk through the courtyards until you reach the last one.

On the left side of the Fourth Courtyard you will find a nice little pool with several kiosks and an open air terrace with views to Beyoglu and Besiktas. It is said that Sultan Mehmed used to have his morning prayer and breakfast here under the little golden kiosk.

This area connects you to the Third Courtyard where the tulip garden is located.

On the right side of the courtyard you will find the very nice modern cafeteria restaurant—Konyali with stunning views. I had my lunch here and you can find my pictures on this post: Turkish Lunch with a View in Istanbul: Dolmas and Sarmas at the Konyali

I would have loved to stay here a little longer, had I have more time in my hands. For more information about the palace, go here: Topkapi Palace
