I don’t do sponsored posts alright but I just have to blog about this budget design hotel we stayed at in Dresden, Germany.
Yup, this budget design hotel has a trendy resident bar of its own. Quite cool huh? It’s a great place to sit down for a nightcap before retiring to the hotel room =)
We are very pleased!
I have noticed Motel One a while back in Cologne because I used to go to Cologne, Germany for work and keep seeing the hotel on my way to the office. Motel One is very modern and the concept is trendy and designy with spacious lobbies, high glass walls and interior design accented in bright colours.
Interior design will always have a soft spot in my heart hence my weakness to take pictures and make a blog entry about it, haha.
In Dresden, we decided to go for their branch at the Palaisplatz in the Innere Neustadt. It’s very near to the Elba River and just a few minutes walk to the Augustus Bridge that connects Inner New Town to the Altstadt (Old Town).
Our room is quite simple though with a view to the main street. The beds were comfy and the bathroom clean. That already makes me happy.
What I personally liked about this hotel is the bar and lounge area beside the lobby. I love that it is very modern and airy. In the evenings it exudes total cosiness and a great place to sit back and relax whilst having a drink or a light snack. It has a trendy and friendly jive to it which reminds me of the TwoRuba Bar and Lounge in Hilton London Tower Bridge where I stayed years back.
There is a restaurant as well on the other side of the lobby which I believe functions more as the breakfast area in the mornings.
The reception is also quite spread out with many sitting and lounge areas. I am liking it. They also make use of tablets for many things and allow guests to borrow them in the reception.
We are quite happy with this hotel. A trendy and design hotel for a good price!
