Skiathos, Greece: “Foodporn” and the Fast Food with “No Name”

“No Name” Gyros fast food in Skiathos town centre. What a name!

Foodporn burger fast food joint.

We had 2 evenings on Skiathos Island where we ate fast food, one of which was at a trendy burger joint and the other at a local Greek gyros place.

Eating out every night during a summer holiday can get a bit wee old. There are nights when you just want a quick grab and then go somewhere else to hang out or have a drink. Fast foods are also cheaper which relieves the stress our wallets experience during the holidays. The cost difference from a sit-down meal and a fast food is not even half! And the fast food in the Greek Islands are not bad at all as well.

Fastfood #1: “Foodporn” Burger

This fast food place has a very simplistic yet catchy logo. Well, I take that back, it’s scandalous, haha. But you know, we are in Europe so nothing is crazy enough here. Well, we’re more than happy to try how good this Foodporn is =)

Dutchman and I ordered the same burger with a bacon and we shared the drink. I am not a big fan of soda drinks,  so I convinced Dutchman to take the lemonade so I can take a sip. It was sour but good enough. We’ll have another drink somewhere in town after this burger dinner.

The burger was nice but I am not the best person to judge how delicious a burger is because I am not a meat connoisseur. Dutchman, on the other hand, thought it was an OK burger, although he reckons, definitely an overpriced burger.

This meal may be cheaper than having dinner at a restaurant, but surely more expensive than a Burger King or McDonald’s meal.

The fries were quite good.

Yes, this is definitely foodporn. Those darn filthy cows…. lol.

Free mayo for the fries!!!! In the Netherlands, you have to pay for mayo everywhere.

The burger has bacon in it. Even the napkins have porn stuff.

The fast food joint is located in the center of Skiathos.

Fastfood #2: “No Name” Gyros

The name of this second fast food place we tried is really “No Nameâ€!
#iamnotjoking

It’s a Greek gyro fast food place with an outdoor seating on a lovely pedestrian cobblestone alley. I like its simple yet funky style and the adoption of bright primary colours. We noticed many locals buying takeaway, so we thought we are in the right place.

We both ordered the gyros pork. The Dutchman had the big plate meal portion complete with tzatziki and sliced pita, while I settled for the small portion in a cone pita bread with fries on the side. The gyros were quite good and we enjoyed this dinner a lot. I guess something different and simple for the evening. Plus we really liked the outdoor alley ambiance of this place.

I guess if people asked us what was the name of the fast food place we ate, we are confident to say that it has “No Nameâ€! lol

We highly recommend this.

Our Greek gyros dinner straight from the rotisserie.

The tables and chairs looked liked they were loaned from a kindergarten school.

Yummy. Did you know that the onions in Greece are sweet?

I told you, the name of this gyro place is No Name! =)
